Buterin Says Ethereum's Last ‘Normal' Fork Is Planned for 2027

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin says the network is heading toward a future where calling it a blockchain barely describes the machinery. In a Sept. 27 essay, he presents a 2030 vision with finality of roughly eight to 32 seconds, lighter verification and stronger privacy.
