Advertising & Sponsored Content Disclosure
How advertising and sponsored content are identified and handled.
Third-Party Advertising and Sponsored Content Disclosure
FinPress Communications Inc.
Effective Date: July 11, 2026 Version: 1.0
1. Overview
This Disclosure explains how advertising and sponsored content work on the FinancialPress Platform, how they are identified, and the important limits on FinancialPress’s role in them. It is part of, and is incorporated into, the Terms of Service, and it works together with the Content Policy, the Community Guidelines, and the Platform Disclaimers. Terms defined in the Terms of Service have the same meaning here.
FinancialPress may make advertising and sponsored content available on the Platform, and some of these features may not be fully active during the private beta. When they are active, they operate under the principles described below. Our central commitment is straightforward: paid placement can purchase visibility in clearly labeled advertising space, but it cannot purchase credibility, ranking, or reputation.
2. Advertising and Sponsored Content Defined
“Advertising” refers to paid promotional placements that FinancialPress or an advertising partner displays on the Platform, such as sponsored posts, sponsored placements associated with a sector or symbol, display units, and similar formats. “Sponsored content” refers to Content that a Member or other party has been compensated to publish, or that is published in connection with a commercial relationship. Both are distinct from the organic Content that Members create and that the Platform ranks on the basis of credibility.
3. Clear Identification
Advertising and sponsored content are labeled so that you can tell them apart from organic Content. When Content is promoted through the Platform’s advertising or sponsorship features, it carries a label identifying it as sponsored or as advertising. In addition, Members who are compensated to publish, including under arrangements made outside the Platform, are required by the Content Policy and the Community Guidelines to disclose that compensation clearly and at the point of publication. If you ever encounter promotional Content that is not appropriately identified, you can report it through the Platform’s reporting tools.
4. Separation of Paid Placement from Credibility
The Platform is designed so that commercial activity cannot influence the credibility signals that determine organic visibility. Advertising spend and sponsorship do not raise a Member’s Reputation Score, improve organic ranking, or affect standing, and engagement with advertising or sponsored content is treated separately from the organic engagement that the Reputation System considers. Advertising and sponsored content are served through dedicated, labeled inventory rather than through the organic credibility system. In short, paying for placement buys attention in advertising space; it does not buy credibility, and it does not move reputation. This separation is a structural feature of the Platform, not merely a policy commitment.
5. No Endorsement
The presence of advertising or sponsored content on the Platform is not an endorsement by FinancialPress. We do not evaluate, verify, guarantee, or adopt the claims, products, services, or offerings of advertisers or sponsors, and a placement on the Platform does not mean that FinancialPress recommends the advertiser, the sponsor, or anything they promote. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for their own content and for ensuring that it is accurate and complies with applicable law.
6. Platform Neutrality
FinancialPress maintains editorial independence between its commercial arrangements and the credibility-based operation of the Platform. Commercial relationships do not determine how organic Content is ranked, which contributors gain standing, or how moderation decisions are made. Advertisers and sponsors do not receive preferential treatment in the organic Platform in exchange for their spending, and moderation of advertising and sponsored content applies the same standards that apply to other Content, with additional review where a regulated category or a specific legal requirement calls for it.
7. Investment Risk and Financial Advertising
Advertising and sponsored content on the Platform may concern financial products, services, securities, or opportunities. Nothing in any advertisement or sponsored placement is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice from FinancialPress, and nothing in it is a recommendation, offer, or solicitation by FinancialPress to buy, sell, or hold any security or to engage in any transaction. The statements, projections, and claims in advertising and sponsored content are those of the advertiser or sponsor, not of FinancialPress.
Financial advertising is subject to risk, and offerings promoted through advertising or sponsored content may involve the loss of principal. You should treat advertising and sponsored content with the same care you would apply to any promotional material: conduct your own research, consider the source and its interests, and consult a licensed professional before acting. The disclaimers in the Platform Disclaimers apply fully to advertising and sponsored content.
8. Third-Party External Services
Advertising and sponsored content may link to or promote websites, products, and services operated by third parties. FinancialPress does not control those external services and is not responsible for them, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to the third party’s own terms and privacy practices. Any transaction you enter into with an advertiser, sponsor, or other third party is solely between you and that party, and FinancialPress is not a party to it and has no responsibility or liability for it.
9. Advertising Data Practices
Information collected in connection with advertising is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Where the Platform offers advertising, it is organized around general audience characteristics, such as sector affinity, topic, reputation band, and broad geography, rather than individual behavioral profiling that would feed into the Reputation System. Where applicable law provides choices regarding targeted advertising, including any right to opt out, those choices are described in the Privacy Policy and will be made available in connection with the relevant features.
10. Changes
We may update this Disclosure as our advertising and sponsorship features develop. Material changes will be communicated as described in the Terms of Service.
