FinancialPress responds to copyright complaints under the DMCA. Anyone can submit a report — no account required. Every submission is reviewed by a human on our team, typically within 1–3 business days.
How the process works
- 1.You submit a report with the URL and how to reach you. No account required.
- 2.A member of the FinancialPress team reviews every submission for completeness and good faith.
- 3.Valid notices lead to content being removed or restricted while the process runs its course.
- 4.The affected contributor is notified and may file a counter-notice if the removal was in error.
What to include in a notice
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
- Direct URLs to the FinancialPress content in question.
- Your name, address, and contact information.
- A good-faith statement that use of the material is not authorized.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
A few things to know first
- Only the rights holder or an authorized agent may submit a notice.
- Misrepresentations may expose you to liability, including attorneys' fees.
- Fair use, commentary, and criticism may apply — consider consulting counsel if unsure.
- Your notice may be forwarded to the affected contributor and to third-party transparency projects.
